A malicious script, a worm named “Santy”, is searching through Google with results to target tens of thousands of phpbb forums.
Seems this worm started attacking phpBB forums back before December of 2004 and is still causing lots of problems.
This worm infects certain web sites by exploiting a vulnerability in phpBB, a popular package used to create Internet forums. Santy.a is spreading rapidly, and has caused an epidemic. However, this does not directly affect end users – although the worm infects web sites, it does not infect computers used to view these sites.
Other phpBB forums are dropping off the Internet qucikly. When trying to access a couple of other forums I belong to I get this:
phpBB : Critical Error
Could not connect to the database ……
Just thought I would pass this along. I hope anyone else who hears some news will post here too.

All the good post you made yesterday are still there! I told Max that he needed to check on the rights for you as a MOD and he promised he would check into it.
Please go to our newish site and give like you used to, I know its not state of the art All signing and dancing board BUT its a little bit of a start and if it takes off we can always upgrade.
